ASA Driving School — Road Test
Road Test Information
In partnership with the North Carolina DMV, ASA Driving School now conducts official road tests for all ages starting at 16. If 18+ call us for details on scheduling. Review the requirements, book on time, and show up ready.
Road Test Schedule

Time slots: Every 30 minutes.

Road test will be conducted every other Saturday 9AM - 12:00PM. Slots fill up fast!

If over 10 minutes late you must reschedule.

Testing site: Located 3.5 miles from Northlake Mall and 8.4 miles from Huntersville NC.
Eligibility

Student must be at least 16 and under 18.

Student must hold NC Learner's Permit.

Must hold a Learners Permit for at least 9 months.

You must have completed the required 60 hours practice log.

Parent/Guardian consent is required at time of testing. They must come with you to the road test.
Fees & Payment

$100 Test using your own vehicle. Must have current registration.

Payment methods accepted: Cash, Money Order, Zelle, CashApp, Apple Pay.

When to pay: $25 NON- Refundable deposit at time of sign up. Balance is due on day of Road Test.

Before Your Road Test:
All vehicles must pass a safety inspection before the test.
The examiner may refuse to ride in any vehicle considered unsafe.
Test Day Notes:
We work to keep wait times short so please be on time.
Important: Passing is not guaranteed.
If you do not pass, you must wait 48 hours before retaking the road test.
